Frequently asked questions
Do you take deposits or reserve a place in line?
No deposits are accepted. Payment occurs only after a formal placement offer and completion of the contract process. Application approval does not reserve a puppy, litter, color, sex, or place in a queue.
How are puppies matched with families?
We consider temperament, structure, health, household fit, and long-term suitability. Final placement decisions follow puppy development and evaluation, generally between six and eight weeks of age.
What should I include in my application?
Tell us about your household, home setup, dog experience, daily routine, training and veterinary care plans, goals, and preferred timing. Please explain your interest in the Shiba Inu breed.
Can I visit the dogs and puppies?
Visits are by appointment. Please contact Shomaisou or use the appointment link on shibas.dog to arrange a visit.
Where can I find current litter updates?
Follow shibas.dog for current litter announcements and puppy updates. Some litters are co-owned, co-bred, or raised with trusted co-breeders and may not appear on every listing platform at the same time.
